Where’s O.C.’s championship housing market?
Lansner on Real Estate wants to know what Orange County community you think is 2009’s best O.C. town to buy a home in. (That’s based on home appreciation, year-over-year median price change for those who’d want to quibble!)
In the playoff spirit, we’ll split the county in four — middle, north inland, south inland and beach — and see what town grabs the most votes within each geography. Then — unlike college football’s playoff — we’ll bring the regional “trophy winners” together for one big “bowl” finale! (An informed voter can do a little research HERE!)
Today: The “Saddleback” Bowl … as in, gold-medal living in South County’s foothill-close towns!

Irvine is NOT in South County or the Saddleback Valley. It is considered Central OC - just check the phone books — and map. When we moved to Lake Forest, we found we needed to phone books (years ago) as Irvine was with Newport Beach, Tustin, Santa Ana, Costa Mesa, etc.
Your misclassification forced 12 South County communities to compete for one spot: Lake Forest, Foothill Ranch, Portola Hills, Laguna Woods, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Trabuco Canyon, Coto de Caza (ask Coto residents if they are part of Trabuco Cyn!), Ladera Ranch, San Juan Capistrano, RSM, and Mission Viejo.
