Sunrise Senior Living has scrapped plans to build an upscale senior residential facility on part of Casta del Sol Golf Course. Wayne Sant, of Sunrise Senior Living, told the city last Friday the company is no longer interested in the land. Sant, senior vice-president of development, said the withdrawal is mostly due to a stale development industry and the uncertainty of receiving city approvals for any of their concepts. The withdrawal comes after Sunrise expressed interest in the site nearly a year ago.
